<p>Pulse is a usable, practical, applicable, timely and convenient food. It can be eaten in the form of a snack or as an entire meal. It was lived on by some for weeks, months or even years.</p>
<h3>Why is <a href="http://www.dontolmanstore.com/index.php?main_page=index&amp;cPath=6" target="_blank">Pulse </a>the most Divine food?</h3>
<p>Pulse was considered, in ancient times, the most sacred and divine of foods because it contains 26 different whole foods, hand crafted in alignment with the sacred geometry (the golden mean, proportion, section, rectangle and spiral) of the phi ratio such that it targets every physiological system in the body. There is a precise number of each food represented in perfect ascending and descending ratios in proportion to each of the body systems and the whole body. As the body is built upon the same sacred geometry, man was considered as god&#8217;s greatest fruit. Pulse was perfectly designed to heal from within and unlock the mysteries from without (the universe and one&#8217;s journey). Pulse was considered food for thought and thought for food. It was the most sacred offering one could make to one&#8217;s own temple (their body).</p>
<h3>Is <a href="http://www.dontolmanstore.com/index.php?main_page=index&amp;cPath=6" target="_blank">Pulse </a>raw?</h3>
<p>Yes. It is absolutely raw. It has not been heat treated above the outdoor temperature. The dried food items (figs and raisins/sultanas) have only been naturally dried via the sun and air. Before the spelling of &#8220;raw&#8221;, raw food came from the Egyptian name of the sun &#8220;Ra&#8221; (pronounced the same way as &#8220;raw&#8221;). This word meant to eat foods in season and to take those foods that you could naturally dry (via the sun and air).</p>
<h3>Is <a href="http://www.dontolmanstore.com/index.php?main_page=index&amp;cPath=6" target="_blank">Pulse </a>organic?</h3>
<p>It is 100% organic. This is true organic because certain health authorities like the FDA will still consider foods organic at 70-80% organic. This means that some organic foods have 20-30% non organic products in them. This really translates to these organic products having pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and yet they still obtain government approval to be certified organic. Pulse is completely free of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, GMOs and any other poisons! It is grown in nature and cared for by families.</p>
<h3>Is <a href="http://www.dontolmanstore.com/index.php?main_page=index&amp;cPath=6" target="_blank">Pulse </a>bio-activated?</h3>
<p>No. The reason for this is because bio activation decreases its shelf life because it creates an environment for micro-organisms to grow. It is always advised to eat bio-activated foods shortly after activation for this very reason.</p>
<p>Pulse helped many a population get through tough times without crops. They used to make it up in large quantities and store them just in case of drought and famine and in those times they used to live on it for pure survival.</p>
<h3>How long does it store for?</h3>
<p>It stores for 9 months.</p>
<h3>Can it be eaten by those who are gluten intolerant? Is there a gluten free mix?</h3>
<p>We have had many gluten intolerant people eat Pulse even though Pulse contains gluten. The reason for this is because gluten intolerance isn&#8217;t actually from the gluten, but from the aluminum fluoride that the grain flours are soaked in to keep weevils and other pests from eating the grains. This aluminum builds up in the mucosal lining in the alimentary canal and anytime they consume anything else more aluminum in it, they get a reaction (the symptoms of gluten intolerance). Not only are the grains soaked in aluminum fluoride, but malamine (ground up asbestos) is added to products like bread, pancake mix, pastas and other types of foods which adds to the toxicity problem. It is not an allergic reaction to the grains, but to the toxic chemicals.</p>
<p>My suggestion to those labelled as &#8220;gluten intolerant&#8221; is to give it a try and I believe you will be pleasantly surprised that you will not have reactions. If you do have a true grain intolerance, there are ways to overcome that but its too much to share in this question.</p>
<p>Currently there is no gluten free mix but it could be made using other grains with the same geometries that don&#8217;t have the gluten in them.</p>
<h3>Can <a href="http://www.dontolmanstore.com/index.php?main_page=index&amp;cPath=6" target="_blank">Pulse </a>be eaten as a meal in its entirety?</h3>
<p>Yes absolutely, in fact in the ancient world, they used it as a meal. In fact we had a person who worked at NASA who wanted to lose a lot of weight. He was just over 300kgs (600+ lbs) and he used to sit for 8-10 hours a day in an observatory. He wanted to get his energy back and he asked me if he could just eat Pulse and Pulse alone. This person went on this meal for around 13 months and that&#8217;s all he ate. When he finally decided to eat something else, he was down to around 100kg (just over 200lbs) and never felt better in his entire life. So yes, its perfectly fine to eat it on its own as an entire meal. In fact when you do, you will feel much better for it.</p>
<h3>How much should be eaten per day?</h3>
<p>Because Pulse is made up of entirely whole foods, there is no right or wrong amount of pulse you can eat. There is no dosage. Go by your intuition, appetite and desire. One of the great things of eating Pulse alone is that you start to learn intuitively how much you should eat that&#8217;s just right for you. Sometimes it will be a lot and other times you will not feel like eating much at all.</p>
<h3>What are the best foods to complement <a href="http://www.dontolmanstore.com/index.php?main_page=index&amp;cPath=6" target="_blank">Pulse</a>?</h3>
<p>The best foods to complement Pulse are any of the fruits. Particularly the juicier of the fruits like orange, peaches, nectarines, mandarins and berries. Ultimately it comes down to personal preference and experimentation. Try your favorite foods and find out!</p>

<p>No junk, no pop, no sodas, no sports drinks.  Only whole foods which are  80 percent raw and 20 percent heated.  Exercise and be patient.   Diabetes will resolve in 14 days to six months.</p>
<p>Only two types of sugars exist and they are the multi-billion dollar medical mystery of Diabetes.</p>
<p>1.  Simple sugars, called fast sugars, are all processed, refined or  artificial, synthetic sugars.  Simple sugars cause diabetes.  Their  molecular size is so small that they cross the blood brain barrier  quickly, hence their name, &#8220;fast&#8221; sugars.  This causes the brain to tell  the pancreas to release insulin.  Insulin in the blood stream sends  messages to the body, which tell it that it is in &#8220;extreme danger&#8221; and  to &#8220;lie down&#8221;.  Insulin zaps your energy so you&#8217;ll have to rest or take a  break.  It also tells your body to &#8220;put on layers of fat to protect  yourself&#8221; and the body responds to the message.</p>
<p>2.  Complex sugars are &#8220;slow&#8221; sugars.  They are unrefined and occur in  nature as fruits, nuts, seeds, grains, and, contrary to public opinion,  even sweet potatoes and honey.  They cross the blood-brain barrier  slowly, sending a message through the blood to the body that all is safe  and well.  This causes the pancreas to release glucagons, which  energize you, making you want to walk, run and play.  Glucagons even  cause you to burn stored fat.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s it.  That&#8217;s the big mystery.  Diabetes testing, also known as  testing your blood sugar, is nuts.  It&#8217;s nothing more than an open  invitation to turn your health, your money and your life over to a  lifetime of ritual invasion.</p>
<p>People have long recognized that what you eat can play a critical role  in both preventing and controlling Type II diabetes.  Perhaps the best  way to understand the effects of one&#8217;s diet on diabetes is to look at  two similar groups of people who differ primarily in what they eat.</p>
<p>Consider the Pima Indians.  Researchers discovered that the Pimas, who  live in Mexico and eat a lot of corn, beans and fruits, are seldom  overweight and rarely develop diabetes.  By contrast, the Pima Indians  in Arizona eat an Americanized diet that is high in sugar and fat.  They  commonly develop diabetes by the age of 50.</p>
<p>Just as a bad diet can aid in the cause of diabetes, a good one can help  control or even prevent it.  A good diet consists mainly of high-fiber,  high-complex carbohydrate foods such as taro, poi, greens and fruits.   Carbohydrates, which are found in nearly all foods except animals &#8211;  fish, pigs, cows and poultry &#8211; are the body&#8217;s main source of energy.</p>

<p><strong>Simple tips to get your started:</strong></p>

<p>Just try one day of fasting and see how you feel.  Keep in mind that the first day of any new routine (dare we say &#8220;habit&#8221;?) is the hardest!  Your body will rebel with much growling&#8230;at first.  It will thank you later, though.  If you&#8217;re up for it, extend your fast another day.  If not, try again in a week or a month.</p>

<p>&#8220;For most of recorded history the only medicine available was folk  medicine.  Remedies will only be passed on for multiple generations and  for millenniums if they work.  Time and distance created the collective body of wisdom we call folk medicine.  Folk medicine then has truly  passed the test of time and passed the scrutiny of experience.</p>
<p>Folk medicine is the compendium of wisdom that reflects not just the science of health but also the art and the method of these principles.  For instance, the nature around us in the area of living chemistry presents an array of non-toxic healing substances that are the Materia Medica of nature&#8217;s apothecary.  Whole foods provide a safe, living, energetic, &#8220;<em>chemotherapy</em>&#8221; if you will.  Whole foods are the anatomica metabolic nutricon that constitutes folk medicine.</p>
<p>Today, pharmaceutical science is jealous, envious and even hateful of plants and their attendant work, they do their work, their magic and wonders, without doing harm.  There is not one vaccine or drug that do that.  In my mind, I can see a time coming early on in the &#8220;<em>Age of Imagination</em>&#8221; we are now in, when every man, woman and child embraces &#8220;<em>Self Care</em>&#8221; by walking everyday, eating just whole foods and developing and maintaining a positive (<em>inner sunshine</em>) attitude.  These things go a long way to not only prevent disease but to remit existing conditions.  I do believe that within this next decade, the best of modern medicine, symptomatic response mechanism in the form of &#8220;<em>first aid</em>&#8220;, will be joined with ancient natural principles of &#8220;<em>folk medicinal cures</em>&#8221; to form a hybrid, &#8220;<em><strong>in home </strong></em>(<em>effective and cost effective</em>) <em><strong>clinics of Self Care</strong></em>.&#8221;</p>

<p>Beet leaves, especially when small, crisp and fresh, are delicious and nutritious.  Instead of tossing them in the garbage, trim off the tough part of the stem that hangs below the leaf.  Heat up some olive oil and your favorite seasonings in a frying pan, sauteing the leaves until they are soft. Dig in &amp; enjoy!</p>

<p>Canned beets are easier to prepare, and they taste almost as good as fresh ones.  But if it&#8217;s the nutrients that you&#8217;re looking to store, canned beets may not be your best bet.  Fresh beets have at least twice as much potassium, folate and other nutrients as the canned ones.</p>
<p>Do not let fresh beets intimidate you.  They are easy to prepare.  Try baking them like a potato or shred them fresh into a salad.</p>

The first is called <strong>atonic</strong>, which is a <strong>lazy bowel. </strong></p>
<p>The second is <strong>spastic</strong>, which is the <strong>narrowing of the colon</strong> with small, ribbon-like stools. For atonic constipation, <strong>a high fiber diet and increased fluid intake</strong> is recommended. Once the problem has gone away, it will be necessary to  retrain the bowel, as explained below. Spastic constipation may be  caused by<strong> nervousness, anxiety </strong>or an <strong>obstruction like plaque and parasites.</strong></p>
<p><em><strong>CONSTIPATION: Death begins in the colon.</strong></em></p>
<p>You are<strong> suffering from constipation</strong> if your bowel  movements are infrequent, uncomfortable and the stools are small and  hard. Regularity of bowel movements is important although the frequency  may vary. For optimum health, you <strong>should have one to three good bowel movements a day</strong>.  It is quite surprising to know that many people have a bowel movement  only every few days, or even once a week. This is certainly not good  because <strong>decaying fecal material and toxins</strong> in your intestines can <strong>contribute to many other diseases</strong>. It is vital to get fecal material out as quickly as possible; <strong>transit time is everything!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Take this simple test to see if you have a bowel problem:  if your stools float, they have enough fiber; if they sink, you don&#8217;t.<br />
</strong></p>
<p><em><strong>Constipation has causes &#8211; </strong></em>so discovering the cause will point the way toward using the appropriate remedy<em><strong>:</strong><strong><br />
</strong></em></p>
<ul>
<li> Poor dietary habits of eating junk and foodless foods</li>
<li> Lack of exercise and a sedentary lifestyle</li>
<li> Lack of fiber in your diet.  Fiber adds bulk to your stools,  stimulates proper bowel contractions and promotes healthy bacteria in  the colon. One of the problems here is the high intake of refined white  flour and animal meals in the modern diet. Products with refined flour  have little or no fiber, and subsequently the intestines have nothing to  help the normal wave-like. Called peristalsis motion pass digested  material through the body.</li>
<li> Medications like some of the ones used to reduce blood pressure and cholesterol, among others do not work. They are dangerous.</li>
<li> Some people who are anaemic and take iron</li>
<li> Vitamin D supplements</li>
<li> Pregnancy</li>
<li> A deficiency in whole food folic acid</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Natural relief for Constipation&#8230;</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Whole foods prevent constipation, piles and diverticulitis</li>
<li> Beans, legumes and grains contain insoluble and soluble fiber to help guard against constipation</li>
<li> Whole grain cereals and bread provide insoluble fiber and help constipation</li>
<li> Fruits like prunes, raisins, apricots, figs and apples.</li>
</ul>
<p>Most Americans get only half the daily amount of fiber that they need to prevent constipation. To get enough fiber, <strong>eat a minimum of five servings of fruits and vegetables, three servings of whole-grain foods</strong> and <strong>one serving of beans a day.</strong></p>
<p><em><strong>Water: Stimulate the Intestines</strong></em><br />
Drink a lot of water!  You can also get the benefits of citrus without the peel. Squeeze the <strong>juice of a lemon</strong> into an eight ounce glass of warm or hot water and drink it <strong>first thing in the morning</strong> to help <strong>stimulate a bowel movement.</strong></p>
<p><em><strong>Dietary Changes:</strong></em></p>
<ul>
<li>The basis of your healthy diet and long term wellness program should be to change your diet by eating a high fiber diet with <strong>plenty of fresh fruits and leafy green vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Eliminate sugar</strong> and <strong>white flour </strong>from your diet.</li>
<li><strong>No soda pop!</strong></li>
