<p><a href="http://dontolmanusa.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/ColonCleanse.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1029" title="ColonCleanse" src="http://dontolmanusa.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/ColonCleanse-150x150.jpg" alt="Fasting" width="150" height="150" /></a>The word &#8216;fasting&#8217; can be somewhat scary, intimidating &amp; even overwhelming.  No worries!  You can do it!  Start out slow &amp; easy.  Start with just one day of fasting.  Fast just the one day a month.  Then, as you &amp; your body adjust to this new (to you) way of life, add another day or so.   A fast can be as short as one day or several days.  Don has fasted as many as 40 days on water alone.  You may not choose to fast that long or just on water, but you get the idea.  The important thing is to listen to your own body.</p>
<p><strong>Simple tips to get your started:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Try a mono diet &#8211; eating just one food; also, Don-recommended as a method to overcome <a href="http://dontolmanusa.com/self-care/food-allergies/" target="_blank">food allergies</a> &#8211; you could eat Don&#8217;s<a href="http://www.dontolmanstore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=10&amp;products_id=28" target="_blank"> Colon Cleanse Fiber Blend</a></li>

<p>Just try one day of fasting and see how you feel.  Keep in mind that the first day of any new routine (dare we say &#8220;habit&#8221;?) is the hardest!  Your body will rebel with much growling&#8230;at first.  It will thank you later, though.  If you&#8217;re up for it, extend your fast another day.  If not, try again in a week or a month.</p>

<p><strong>HEARTBURN</strong></p>
<p>Despite its name, <strong>heartburn doesn&#8217;t affect the heart.</strong> Heartburn is a <strong>burning feeling</strong> in the <strong>lower chest</strong>, along with a sour or bitter taste in the throat and mouth generally resulting from food that has gone down the &#8216;wrong way&#8217;.<br />
<strong><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><br />
Tips for preventing Heartburn:</span></em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Drink      a glass of fresh cabbage or celery juice everyday</li>
<li>Drink      raw potato juice (do not peel the potato). Just wash it and put it in the      juicer. Mix the juice with equal amount water. Drink it 3 times a day.</li>
<li>Sip 1      tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar, mixed with a glass of water while      eating. Do not drink any other liquids with meals.</li>
</ul>
<p>Try these things next time you experience heartburn and things should be <strong>back to normal for you in no time.</strong></p>
